

Jeremy Bass is a guitarist, songwriter, and poet based in Woodstock, NY. His poems and songs have won numerous awards, including the John Lennon Award for Best Jazz Song and the UK Songwriting Contest Mozart Award. His poems and reviews have appeared in The Nation, New England Review, Los Angeles Review of Books, and many other journals. He is the recipient of scholarships to the Bread Loaf and Sewanee Writers' Conferences, as well as the Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Prize. Since 2006 he has been the bandleader and Music Director for the OBIE award-winning The Secret City.
