Cabin Songs is the first fingerstyle album from award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist Jeremy Bass. In 2025, Bass left his longtime home in New York City for a small cabin nestled at the foot of the mountains in Woodstock, New York. He also made a fresh start musically, applying skills and techniques from years of classical guitar study to original compositions on steel-string instruments.

 

The result is Cabin Songs, self-recorded in an early 1900s artist studio on the edge of a nature preserve under the shadow of Overlook Mountain. Half traditional Americana and half inspired by the rich fabric of improvisatory and world music that makes up the modern repertoire of classical guitar, Cabin Songs invites you to pull back from the busy world and immerse yourself in a sound and spirit as unique as the place in which it was made.
